Where I Got My Baby's Name

I was doing my usual dose of grocery shopping when I overheard somebody say the name Yuri. I turned around to look over the one who said the name and it’s a woman tagging a pesky little boy. And I thought my son’s name is unique but then again, I know it is.

You see, it took me so much time looking for my baby’s names over the net. I decided to finally consider some names and referred it to my hubby (since we have a deal that if it’s a girl – I can name it any way I want to BUT if it’s a boy – the first letter should start with an O) with consideration to baby name meanings. I found the name Uri in one site and I liked how it is defined. Uri means ‘my light’ in Hebrew, and since I have to consider the deal, I just tagged O along and found its way to the first line and it became Ouri. I wanted to name my son Lawrence or Clarence but I cannot insist on it since it does not seem to fit with the name Ouri. Although I first thought of doing ‘O’ Lawrence’ or ‘O’ Clarence’ but my hubby didn’t find it funny, so, it became Ouri Gabriel – my light, God is my strength.
