This second term, I decided not to accept the two regular subjects assigned to me since I can no longer do other things I’m supposed to be doing. Our CBA coordinator decided to give me instead three tutorials subjects (Finance 13,14 and 5) which can be done in the comforts of my home and I only have to meet them whenever I want to or do all these things UP style. Frankly, I kind of akin to this kind of idea since I do not and cannot leave my children (we don’t have a nanny or a helper). I only have my mom with me but at her age, I do not want her to tire herself with all the household chores and in taking care of the children.
Before, I used to work in an agency where I got detailed in a GOCC. And one reason that made me resign is because of minimal pay, eight hours work load and temporary status. Remembering those days, I think that most companies now hire a recruitment agency by outsourcing or employee leasing. And sometimes, missing the times I have to go in an office, I occasionally think of checking on a Call Centre Job Vacancy just because I wanted to try that specific field of work (I’ve been in a lot of companies, not exactly hopping but after EOC, I do not want to renew, I wanted to try another job, in another place).
If I ever get to work again, I’m thinking of a bigger perspective like Jobs in Birmingham or anywhere in Europe. Well, that’s a perspective. For now, I’m content to do my role - and that’s being a mom.
