Vaccines and Tantrums

I've been busy these past few days since we are preparing for our trip and one of the must-do is to complete the kids' vaccination. So today, after haggling with my 5-year old son on the how and why he should be vaccinated (and promised him thereafter to buy him a toy as a bribe, sigh), he finally was optimistic about having a dose of immunization. But, when he saw the needles, he told me right away that his younger brother should have it first. So, we gave way to his request, and 2 vaccines were done on Bashing2 (left and right thigh - after squirming and shouting and crying - he was all red after that).

Okay Obing, your turn. Ha! He was all tantrums and we have to held him tightly for him to get his two shots. Whew! So much for vaccines...He won't even walk straight! He would limp and he looked in pain. So, as promised, we went to the mall and allowed him to choose his toy. And off he went without even a hint of getting doses. So much for the act.

It's a joy to have children. Even as wily as him. ^^V
