Simple Habits, Part 2

THIRTY SECOND RULE: If it takes thirty seconds or less to do, do it immediately.

FOLLOW THE RULE OF TEN (MINUTES): Set a timer for ten minutes and attack a hot
spot with a vengeance.

HELP IT GO HOME - After you create a home for your belongings, make sure your item is not allowed to stop when it is out until it reaches its home. Put up the scissors, keys, check book, purse, and all the other things that tend to want to stop on the way to their home. If you know the song Get Along Little Doggie, sing that as you do. Others may prefer the song from the Beatles which has the words, 'Go home. Get back, get back. Back to where you once belonged'.

You get the idea!

FOLLOW THE RULE OF TEN (GIVE-AWAY THINGS): Gather ten things to give away. Scoot them out of the house (preferably to the nearest charity) ASAP. If you can't get them to the charity today, put them in the car to be dropped off next trip or store them in the garage to be picked up by the charity.

FINISH WHAT YOU START: Just for today, don't leave a job until you have completed
the job and put everything away. Remember, your commitment to this is for this one day only
